Archiving Policy

Taro Gau: Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to the long-term preservation of its digital content to ensure that it remains accessible for future generations of scholars and researchers.

Digital Preservation Network

To guarantee the permanence of published scholarly work, Taro Gau utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This network digitally preserves OJS journals by distributing the content across multiple institutions, ensuring that the authentic original version is maintained even in the event of a catastrophic server failure.

LOCKSS
LOCKSS

Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe (LOCKSS) ensures decentralized and distributed preservation of the journal's content.

Controlled LOCKSS provides a sustainable dark archive to ensure perpetual access to scholarly journals.

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors are encouraged to archive the Publisher's version (PDF) of their articles in institutional repositories or personal websites immediately after publication. This policy aims to increase the visibility and impact of the research while complying with the Sherpa/Romeo standards for open-access archiving.

Repository Policy

In addition to the global networks mentioned above, all articles are locally archived and backed up daily at the Sao Literasi Publisher server. Metadata and full-text files are also deposited in national-level repositories to ensure redundancy and accessibility.
