Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (APA Style 7th, Mendeley Used).
  • The manuscript is written in ENGLISH.
  • All Authors have checked that the manuscript is free from plagiarism (Turnitin).
  • The Author has removed all personal information (Name, Affiliation) from the manuscript file (Blind Review).

Author Guidelines

Important: Before submitting your papers, please REGISTER HERE to get your author account. If you already have an account, please LOGIN.

The journal publishes manuscripts written exclusively in English. Manuscripts submitted for publication must be original contributions, not previously published, and not under consideration by any other publisher.

1. General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be an authentic research result that implies novelty and scientific contribution.
  • The manuscript must be free from plagiarism. The editorial board will strictly reject texts that indicate plagiarism (>20%) using Turnitin Turnitin.
  • The manuscript should consist of 5000-7000 words (including references).
  • Paper format: A4-sized (210x297 mm) with margins: 2.54 cm (top, bottom, left, right).
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt, with 1.15 line-spacing, single column.
  • Arabic Transliteration: Arabic terms must follow the Library of Congress (LC) transliteration style. Non-English words should be in Italic.

2. Manuscript Structure (IMRAD)

The manuscript must follow the standard scientific article structure:

  1. Title: Concise, informative, and specific (max 15 words). No uncommon abbreviations. Written in 14pt Bold, aligned left.
  2. Abstract & Keywords: Written within 150-250 words. It must encapsulate the background, objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusion. Followed by 3-5 keywords.
  3. Introduction: Must contain a general background, a rigorous literature review (state of the art) to demonstrate the Gap Analysis (what distinguishes this research from previous studies), and clearly state the research objective/hypothesis.
  4. Methods: detailed explanation of research design, data collection, and data analysis techniques so that the research is reproducible.
  5. Result and Discussion: This is the most important part. The results must strictly answer the research questions. The discussion must interpret the findings, compare them with previous studies (support/contrast), and explain the implications.
  6. Conclusion: Summarizes the main findings and provides recommendations or future research directions. Do not repeat text from the results section.
  7. Tables & Figures:
    • Tables must not contain vertical lines. Horizontal lines are allowed only for headers and the bottom.
    • Images/Figures must be high resolution (min. 300 dpi) and clearly readable.
    • Titles: Table title is placed above the table; Figure caption is placed below the figure.

3. References

  • Total references should be at least 30 sources.
  • Minimum 80% of references must come from primary sources (Reputable Scientific Journals) published in the last 10 years.
  • Citation style follows APA Style 7th Edition.
  • Authors are REQUIRED to use the reference management tool Mendeley Mendeley.

4. Blind Review Policy

To ensure a double-blind peer review, the author’s name, email, and affiliation MUST NOT appear in the manuscript file. These details should only be entered in the OJS metadata form during submission.

5. Submission Steps

  1. Register/Login: Log in as an Author and click “New Submission”.
  2. Start: Choose Journal Section and confirm the submission checklist.
  3. Upload Submission: Upload the manuscript file in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format.
  4. Enter Metadata: Fill in all author information, title, abstract, and keywords correctly.
  5. Confirmation: Click “Finish Submission”.

Articles

Manuscripts submitted to this section will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Original research articles, conceptual papers, and case studies related to Islamic Studies and its integration with modern science are welcomed. All submitted manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must ensure that the manuscript follows the journal's author guidelines and template.
